My name is Sarah Hathway. I’m a Corio resident, a social worker in the public health sector, a community activist and a mum. I’ve also been a Councillor for this community since June 2023. I’ve been fighting to save Council land for public housing, working with residents to revitalise public spaces like Labuan Square, campaigning for the environment and against racism. I am the Socialist Alliance endorsed candidate for Corio Ward and I want to continue campaigning and advocating for this community.

We recognise that the right to vote and stand for election has been denied to First Nations people. At Run For It, we work in solidarity with First Nations people in all of our campaigning and support First Nations justice with every opportunity. We acknowledge that wherever we are in Australia, we are on stolen land. Australia was invaded and sovereignty was never ceded. We pay our respects to elders past and present.
