Sophie Wade

I'm a lawyer, a Collingwood local, and the former Mayor of Yarra.
Since I’ve been on council, we have transformed roads to parks and playgrounds, installed protected bike lanes and wider footpaths, planted more street trees and taken powerful climate action.
Collingwood deserves a representative who will listen to them, rather than corporations and property developers. As a competition and consumer lawyer, I have experience taking on powerful interests and standing up for everyday people.
As your Councillor for Collingwood, I will fight for renters and for more public housing, for First Peoples and refugee justice and for continuing Yarra’s world-leading action on climate change.
