Teagan Mitchell

As a local resident, and a renter in this community, I will be running in the new Charlemont ward for the City of Greater Geelong election. We have often been forgotten in recent years, with commitments for funding going elsewhere. Our community deserves a strong advocate who will fight tirelessly to ensure that our needs are not only acknowledged but prioritised for the future. Our community is incredibly diverse and multicultural and is growing at a rapid pace, in fact it is currently the fastest growing in our municipality. The current Council has struggled to address this, and we have been left behind in funding choices made by those previously elected to represent us. If elected, I will work tirelessly to bridge the gap between our community and the Council, advocating for policies that reflect the unique needs of Charlemont Ward. I will strive to create a more inclusive and equitable future, where every voice is heard, and every individual is valued. It is time for change in Charlemont, and that is why I am standing to be our voice for the future.
