My names Campbell Knox! I have lived in Maitland my entire life and over that time I have seen the constant failures and disappointments by our council through their lack of community support and their policy of “whoops, we didn’t think you’d notice” when those community groups hold them to account.
We need a Council that support people over profit, democracy over developers and community over their own income.
As a member of The Greens I’m not held down by corporate donations so when I talk about the need to support small business and Landcare I’m not speaking from the perspective of someone who just received a corporate pay-check, I’m speaking as a concerned citizen who understands local issues.
